An Outing Party.
The delightful outing given on
Wednesday evening on the Cnm
pus of Emory College to the chil¬
dren c;f the town by the ladies was
one ot the most enjoyable occasions
of the summer. As the sun was
sinking in the west, groups of
“grown up" folks and children
could be seen making their way
to the Campus all carrying well
filled baskets.
The children were entertained
with games and frolic, the matrons
; and maids joined heartily into
these games with a zest that was
surprising. v
Cloths were spread at tea time
on the green beneath the lovley
trees. The well filled
were emptied and the feast enjoy¬
ed by all. Many lingered on the
campus until the moon rose when
a moonlignt ride was enjoyd, after
which all returned to their homes,
