is Foreman of Jury.
Superior court of Newton coun
ty convened Monday morning,
Judge L. S. Roan presiding.
After organization of tne grand

the Judge delivered his charge.
This was.up to the usual stand¬
ing of Judge Roan’s charges. He
dwelt especially on gambling, pis¬
tol carrying, liquor, and vagrancy
saying these four violations of the
law did more to crowd court dock¬
ets than anything else. He re¬
quested the jurors to hit high as
well as low. He request¬
ed the grand jurors to keep to
themselves what occurred in the
jury room,

THEATRICAL SEASON
OPENED HERE
Monday with Wills’ Comedy
Company—The Presentation
In Atlantic City” Scored
Hit before big Crowd.
'1 lie present management of the
opera house lias offered nothing
mere pleasing or that that has
dr u n a larger audience than the
production of “In Atlantic City ) J
on Monday evening by the Wills’
Musical Comedy Company, and if
one is to judge from the applause
and expressions of approval that
were heard on all sides, then those
present got their money’s worth.
The production was a thing of
laughs and explosions, not occa¬
sion ally, but continuously.
The pretty chorus girls, whose
beauty of face and figure were en¬
hanced by many changes of bright
and airy.costumes, were enthusi¬
astically encored as they sang the
catchy songs that measured up to
the highest standards.
Tire play was replete with all
that is new in bright satire, witty
dialogues and catchy music.
Charles Brewer, as Otto Buck,
Luea-ured up to the standard set
for him by the advance agents.
His make-up was unique, striking
and ridiculous.
One of the enjoyable hits of
penortnance was in the hands of
the Misses Lindon, whose whist¬
ling and singing specialties were
delightfully clever.

ITHINK MORE-SPEND LESS!
5 is it that the average man is worth so much less in money and pt-op
c erty than we have a right to expect him to be ? It isn’t, because he
* doesn’t make Ihe money, for the average man is industrious and has earned ^
I from $10,000 to $30,000 in die past ten years. It is because he doesn’t give C
X much serious thought either to his income or his outgo. Serious thought would 5
> teach him the true value ol a d dlar; then he would spend carefully and save <
! £ steadily. That.system- soon places any man ahead of his fellows. >
