ADVERTISE!
There are many ways to make
advertising pay but the greatest of
these is persistency.
Tne loudest complaints of the
i t fierceness” of competition and
of the difficulties experienced in
making money, usually comes from
tae man who sells the smallest
quantity of goods, with the least
advantage to himself, and he is in
that position simply because he
does not, know how- to properly ac¬
quaint the public with his goods.
The art of advertising intellegent
]y and persistently is the ONE
method employed by those who
have succeeded,
The advertiser, to get results
must be prepared to “back up his
talk”. No sense in claiming an
enormous stock on hand when the
public knows better. It weakens
rather than strengthens, Back up
your talk and keep talking ; results
will surely foltow.
When you tell your business story
in cold type, see that the work
is done in an artistic way, so that it
will attract attention and be con¬
vincing. WE PRINT PROFIT
BRINGING PRINTING.

WE MUST GET THE AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE 4
! =e. *
.i jhe ... -Jy
4**0
Now that the Grand Jury has recommended that county au
thorities donate three thousand dollars for the purpose of securing the
Agricultural College, let us go to work to raise the rest of the required
amount.
It has been suggested that the Commissioners or the County school
Commissioner get and option on 200 acres of land suitable for the pur¬
pose, and in the event the school is located here buy the land.
We must also raise the rest of the required amount by subscrip¬
tion. A committee of our urnst prominent citizens should be appoint¬
ed to secure subscription. Let’s not wait—delay is dangerous.
Have you thought about the matter? Do you realize what it means
to Nowton County? Do you realize what this forward step means to
agriculture?
Fellow citizen ! Get to work for your county. Get to work for
yourself and chidren, tor that is what it is. ^
Let us have a meeting of the citizens at once and get the matter
in proper shape. Let us make the bid for the school at once. If we
get it the people will have to support the leaders in the matter.
NOW IS THE TIME; STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT.
