Church Notes.
One of the most interesting ser
vices held in Covingt on in some
time was held at the Baptist church
on last Sunday night. Rev. w.
Harvey Clark, recently returned
preached a very able sermon.
There was a good deal oi feeling
manifested at the meeting.
Rev. Mr. Clark is a good talker
and ii(‘\er fails to interest, His
wife aids in his meetings and adds
a good deal of interest.
After the services a member of
the church voluntarily contributed
one hundred dollars to the cause of
missions. He lefuses to allow his
name made public.
0n next Sunday night the uni union
services will be held at the Pres¬
byterian church, Rev. E. R. Pend-
