Mi', and Mrs. Thomas Homer
Barnes will give in marriage their
daughter, Allio Tine, to Mr. John
Henry Wood, on the afternoon of
Wednesday, the twentieth of Dec- j
ember, at three o’clock, The Ced
ars, near Mansfield, Georgia.
Mr. Wood is one of the most
substantial business men in New¬
ton County. For several years he
was connected with the well
known firm of Fow ! er Bros, of
this city. At present is of the firm
of Coogler and Wood of Mans
field ;
Miss Barnes is the accomplished
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. H.
Barnes of Mansfield, and a sister
of our fellow-townsman and cotton
factor, Mr. Tom Barnes. We be
speak for these people the highest
success and happiness.
An Appreciated Subscriber.
Elder R. L. Cook, formerly of
this city, now of Social Circle, was
here a few days of last week with
relatives. Mr. Cook came into
the Enterprise office and paid his
subscription up to 1908. Such
bonafide subscribers as Elder Cook
help us, and cause ns tc feel
better and at the same time makes
the subscribers take more inte¬
rn the paper. A delinquent sub¬
scriber cant enjoy a paper as
much as one who keeps bis paper
paid for in advance.
There are about one thousand
names on our books, which we
would be pleased to see in the
same condition as Elder Cook s
name.
Come and make us feel happy
for C hristmas.
Editor Burton is Deceived.

Mr. Cooley came over to see his cousin,
Miss lola Cooley, who is visiting Miss
Maude Roberts. We congratulate Mr.
Cooley for being editor of one ol the best
weeklies in the state, and judging from
appearance we wish to congratulate him
