One of the most charming social
eve,its of the week was given by
Mrs James F Rogdrs at her home
on Clark street Tuesday evening
in compliment to her attractive
guest, Miss Francis Lee Clabaugh,
of Birmingham, Ala. The home
was beautifully decorated with
ferns and palms. After a series of
progressive games were played a
delightful luncheon was servtd in
courses.

lightfully entertained by Miss
Dessa H&yo last Saturday after¬
noon at her home on Monticello
street. The Irish myde of cele¬
brating St. Patrick’s Day was
abroad. One of the features of
amusement was kissing the “blain
ey stone’’ to assure the guests of
having a sufficiency of Irish wit
and flattery that followed. The
prize, a beautiful book for the wit¬
tiest joke, was awarded to Miss
Claybaugh, of Birmingani, Ah.
A delightful salad course and
ices were served in the diningroom,
where the “Shamrock r i was used
very effectively for the table deco¬
rations.
The hostess was unusually pretty
in rich red, while Miss Claybaugh
and Mrs. Ross, the invited guests,
were charming in white veil and
blue crepe.
Quite a number ot guests en¬
joyed Miss Hays’ hospitality.
