Model Farms For Schools.
Through the efforts of Gov. Tor
Mi, who went to Washington last
week to confer with the IJ. S
commissioner of agriculture, mod¬
el farms will be established in con¬
nection with the agricultural
schools in each of the congression
ul districts in the state. Secretary
Wilson slated that it would be im¬
possible at the present time to fur¬
nish a man in connection with
each of these model farms, but
that tour men would be sent to
Georgia by the department and
these will divide their time be¬
tween the elevtn schools. It is es¬
timated the expense will be about
$800 for each school or a total of
$6,000, which will be paid from a
fund which the department has
available for that purpose.
A littlelKodol taken occasion¬
ally, especially after eating, will
relieve sour stomach, belching and
heart-burn. J B Jones, Newport,
Teiin., writes: T am sure three
one dollar bottles of your Kodol
positively cured me ot‘ dyspepsia,
and I can reccommd it, as that
was three years ago and I haven’t
been bothered since with it I t
Kodol is guaranteed to give relief.

The Busy Bee.
When von egt a spoonful of
honey you have very little notion
as to the amount of work and trav¬
el necessary to produce it. To
make one pound of clover honey
bees must deprive 62.000’ clover
blossoms of their nectar, and to do
this requires 2,750,000 visits to
the blossoms by the bees.
In other words, one bee to col¬
lect enough nectar to make one
pound of honey must go from hive
to flower and back 2,750,000 times. >
Then when you think how far
these bees sometimes lly in search
of these clover fields, oftener than
not one or two miles from the hive,
you will begin to get a small idea
of the luimber of miles one of the
industrious little creatures must
travel in order that you may have
the pound of honey that gives them
so much trouble.
It may also help you to under¬
stand why the bee is utiamiable
enough to sting you if you get in
its way. When one has to work
so hard to accomplish so little, it
is quite imitating to be interfered
with.

ALMON.
The young folks of Almon who
anticipated a j >voits time surpris¬
ing Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Sudduth
with their surprise party were
greatly surprised themselves. On
arriving at Mr. Sudduth’s house
they met. Rev. E. P. Hammonds
and a few of the older members.
Brother Hammonds delivered a
beautiful sermon to them, one
long to be remembered. Several
prayers were offered in behalf
of those young folks who profess
to be God : s children. We congrat¬
ulate Mr. Sudduth in acting his
part so well. Would to God all
heads of families who confess
Christ won Id turn all so called
entertainment, surprise party,
and ice-cream suppers into prayer
meetings or preaching. We again
say hurrah for Sudduth, and wish
we had more Sudduths.
