would do good.
In doing this work we have had
the support of the people, and ap¬
preciate it, and assure all, young
and old, that we are grateful for
what has been done. We are es¬
pecially indebted to Dr. Moore for
his articles, twenty in all. He
has been conservative, but fear¬
less, in his views. A man who has
lived so long a life ot usefulness
could not do otherwise than write
the truth. Dr. Moore, these ex¬
pressions have been read and done
good. They have found their way
into hearts and minds, like seed in
rich soil, to bear fruit in genera
tions to come.
We trust that all will continue
to write and keep the educational
interest in the county alive; never
let it die from one term to another.
We have faith in Newton county
but her boys and girls are her
wealth, and when we fail
help them we are thwarting the
and growth of the county.
Very respectfully yours,
J. O. Martin.
