Life.
A little work,
A little play,
A little sorrow
On the wav ;
A little sigh
For what’s unwon,
A dream of when
The race is won.
The gleam of hope
From morning skies
A little light
From lover’s dear eyes;
The swinging gates,
The setting sun,
We close our eyes,
And life is done.

Men of the Moon, Lightweights.
The average weight of man is
140 pounds, but the force of grav¬
ity on Mar9 is so tnuMi less than
on earth that the 140-pound man
would weigh only fifty-three
pounds if transported thither.
With such light weight, and still
retaining the same strength, an
individual would be able to run
with the speed of an express train,
go skipping over ten-foot walls
and other extraordinary things.
On the moon a mail would be even
lighter.
But on the sun our 140-pound
man would have his trouble In¬
stead of being an airy individual
he would weigh a ton and threp
quarters, He probably would
have the greatest difficulty in
raising his hand, for that member
would weigh 800 pounds.
According to scientific comput¬
ation, man who weighs 140 pounds
would go to the other celestial
bodies with the following weights;
Moon, 28 pounds; Mars, 53:
Yemrs, 114; Mercury, 119;
Neptune, 123: Uranus, 127;
Saturn, 165; Jupiter, 371; Sun,
3,871.
