Red Men Adopt Resolutions.
Whereas, The Great Spirit has,
in His infinite wisdom, removed
from our Hunting Grounds to the
Happy Hunting Grounds our es
teemed brother, Sam Flowers,
Whereas, the long and intimatfe
relation held with him in the faith
ful discharge of his duties in our
Tribe, makes it eminently fitting
that we should record our ‘
•
ciation of him. Brother Flowers
of r brightest, gentlest -
was one our
and best beloved members; pure of
heart, gentle mannered, the soul of
honor, and he had won a place in
the hearts of his comrades that |
time cannot efface. We surrender
him to Death, whose call cannot
1-e denied and whose remorseless
summons does not regard the bond j
of fellowship or the ties of love;
we garland his earthly tomo with
this, the expression of our admi
ration, our respect and our tender
love and hope to meet him in that
Far Countiy whose standards are
higher and kinder and juster than
our own. Therefore, be it resolved,
That in the loss of Brother Flow¬
ers Suwanee Tribe has lost a faith¬
ful and efficient member and that
there is a vacancy in our tepee that
cannot be easily filled.
We extend to the bereaved fam¬
ily our heartfelt sympathy in this
dark hour. ,
That a copy of these resolutions
be spread upon the minutes of the

family and that they be published
in The Enterprise, and in the Fra
tornal News, the official organ of
this reservation.
