The Texas Railroad Commission
has ordered the railroad companies
to report to it by telegraph the
causes and casualties of all wrecks
on their lines. That must have
been a sockdolager to the railroad
officials. As a rule, the officials.
have heretofore acted upon the
principle that information respect¬
ing accidents was their own pri¬
vate property, and that it was no¬
body’s business except their own
whether there were accidents or
not.

It Wont’t Work.
The Jacksonville Times-Union
hands out the following induce¬
ment for people to move from this
state to Florida:
“If you fish on Sunday in Geor
gia you violate the law, and if you
keep bait in the house you commit
a misdemeanor. Who would live
in Georgia when he can be free by
stepping over o:» imaginary line?
We wonder what joy is iu life to
Georgians now?” y
The Times-Uuion will not get
very many good citizens by such
inducements. Tlio.se who will
move to Florida because Georgia
will soon be dry and because it is a
misdemenarr in tins elate to des
ecrale the Sabbath can and will be
spared. We wish Florida joy of
all of such Georgians as move to
the “Landof Flowers.”
