four times Sunday in Covington;
three times at the white Baptist
church at.d once at the negro Bap¬
tist church.
His morning theme was “My
Heart Is Fixed.” His outline
showed remarkable ability.
1. My heatt is^fixed on God as
my Father.
2. My heart is fixed on Christas
my Savior.
3. My heart is fixed on Chris¬
tians as my associates. I
4. My heart is fixed on Christi¬
an service as my employment.
5. My heart is fixed on the Holy
Spirit as my comforter.
6. My heart is fixed on Heaven

upon the ratio of the school pop¬

A man who stands on the stieet
corner chewing and Bpitting, tell¬
ing how the old govenmeut should
be run, cursing the town, finding
fault with his grand-ma because
Bhe was a woman, claiming that
the lawyers and newspaper men
skin a man to a finish, is a
nuisance and abomination. Any
town pestered with one or more
such worthless men, would be
justified in exercising a cowhide
ou the bottom of their trousers.
No one is obliged to live where it
is not suitable. If things don’t
suit you go where they will. A
and sorehead in a town is
an enterprise killer every time, or
at least that is what a Kansas
paper thinks about it.—Clenville
