Jones, in North Covington is visiting

Atlanta for the past several months
has accepted a position with W.
Cohen in the millinery department.

ant visit to Mrs. Heard Thompson.

have returned home after a pleasant
visit to her parents in South Carolina.

Mrs. T. C. Spivey and little daugh

The many friends of Mrs. D. A.
Thompson will regret to learn that
she has been on the sick list for the
past week. She is somewhat im¬
proved at present.
Mrs. V. A. Harper spent Monday in
Atlanta in the interest of her milli¬
nery parlors here, and has placed on
sale for Easter some of the newest
shapes in hats for this season.

Brick Store News.
The rains have ceased for a few ,
days preparing and the for farmers planting, are hence very busy j !
very
little news this week. The past "week
is the first in some time without rain
and the farmers are putting in good
time as farm work is considerably be¬
hind. However, with good weather
for two or three weeks more they |
will catch iip. They are planting
more corn than usual this year, which
is a good sign for a prosperous year in
1909.
Mrs. L. L. Flowers and children of
Covington, returned to their home in
that city Saturday after a pleasant
stay with her parents.
We are glad to note the improve¬
ment of Mr. Robert Higginbotham,
after several days confinement to his
bed. We hope he will soon reeover.
Master Hugh benford, of Salem, is
spending some time with hisgrandpa
rents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Ozburn.
Mrs. T. II. Richards, of Hayston,
spent Sunday with her daughter, Mrs.
Hill Stewart.
