Master Fred Bush, the bright little
son of Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Bush is
quite sick with fever at their home
on Church street.
Mrs. T. M. Davis and little son, of
McLeod, Okla., are spending several
days with Mr. W. H. Barnett’s family
in North Covington.
The Misses Delaney, of Florida, and
Miss Ruby Ezelle, of Monticello, are
expected this week to be guests of
Mrs. H. B. Anderson.
Miss Leila Tompkins and children,
of Helena, who have been the guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. T. Wells, have
returned to their home.
Messrs. O. S. Porter, R. P. Lester,
Geo. T. Smith and N. S. Turner will
leave in a few days for a week’s fish¬
ing trip at Wrightsville Beach.
Mrs. John J. Corley entertained a
number of her friends Monday after¬
noon in honor of her guest, Miss May
Bradshaw, of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Mr. C. C. Foster and two children
have returned to their home at Ros¬
well after a pleasant visit to Mr. and
Mrs. R. P. Lester in north Covington.
Mrs. Milton Ramey, of Griffin, vis¬
ited her parents in the southern part
of the county several days of this
week.
Mrs. Dickens and grand-daughter,
Miss Jewell Dickens, of Madison,
were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
Stanton several days of the past week.
Mrs. J. R. McCord and little son,
Frank Stephen, have returned from a
week’s visit to Mrs. McCord’s parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Q. S. Moon, near Con¬
yers.
Capt. and Mrs. James M. Pace had
as their guests recently Mrs. Lucy
Pace Owsley, of Atlanta, and her
daughter, Mrs. Chas. B. Ackley, of
Cuba.
Mrs. C. M. Griffin returns this week
from several months stay in Atlanta,
and it will be gratifying to her friends
to learn that she is much improved in
health.
Mr. Claud McKibben, of Atlanta,
spent the week end with Dr. and Mrs.
J. W. Lee. Mrs. McKibben and little
daughter returned home with him on
Sunday.
Miss Lucy Dillard, who has been
the guest of Miss Bonner Simms, was
a member of the camping party at
McDaniel’s mills during the past sev¬
eral days.
Mrs P. W. Godfrey has as her guests
this week, her mother, Mrs. Hardee,
and Miss Bessie Besseant, of Jackson¬
ville, Fla., and Miss Margaret Sparks,
of Brunswick.
Mrs, W. H. Pickett and daughter,
Sallie Mae, are on an extended visit
to Brush, Colorado, where they go to
visit Mr. Henry Pickett, who is in the
sugar beet business.
Mr. Lance Flemister and wife, of
Atlanta, are spending several days
with the latter’s parents at Eatonton.
On their return they will visit Mr.
and Mrs. M. W. Flemisterin Midway.
The announcement of the marriage
of Miss Ola Robertson, formerly of
this county, to Mr. Frank Malone,
which occurred in Alanta last week,
was read with interest by her many
friends here.
Misses Irma Mason, Frances Ansley
and Winnie Perry, of Decatur, spent
Friday afternoon with Miss Gladys
Lee. They were on their return from
the Perry homestead in the eastern
part of the county where they had
been in attendance upon a house
party.

Greensboro Monday and spent the day
with Miss Annie Perry enreute to visit
friends and relatives at Newborn.
Mrs. Pauline Jarman left Sunday
for Marietta for a short stay before
joining Miss Fox for a months stay in
Virginia. Miss Fox has been detained
in Atlanta for several weeks on ac¬
count of illness, but is convalescing.

gust the Sunday night services will
be held under the plan used last year,
alternating with the different church¬
es. On the third Sunday night in
this month services will be held at
the Presbyterian church, Rev. E. R.
Pendleton conducting the services.
On the fourth Suuday night in this
month they will be held at the Bap¬
tist church, Rev. J. B. Gordon con¬
ducting the meeting.
The people of the city are requested
to come and meet with them at the
different churches, assuring them of
a cordial welcome and good services.
