TEETHING BABIES
Our mothers will be glad to learn
that they can now get “Pitts Carmina¬
tive” for a small price from Penning¬
ton Drug Co., phone 43, and that it
does not contain dope, morphine oi
soothing drugs of any kind. So if your
baby is having trouble and pain from
teething, such as vomiting, wind or
colic, painful stools or diarrhoea, bowel
troubles, is fretful, feverish and losing
flesh, then hurry, mother, and give
your little one a dose of Pitts Carmina¬

well contented, happy, digestion fine,
vomiting and colic stopped, and teeth
are cut easily and naturally. Pitts Car¬

Lad Got Bargain.
Standing in front of a bake shop, a
rrowd was watching an automatic ina
■hirid turning out doughnuts. A sign
mnounced that the price of the dough
luts was 30 cents a dozen. In the
!?ont row of the crowd was a small
legro newsboy. As he pressed his
lose against the window his attention
seemed divided between the sign and
:lie coins lie counted over in his hand.
Thirty cents a dozen would be more
:hau two cents apiece, and less than
:liree cents. Finally he entered the
shop and motioned to the girl filling
mgs at the hopper that he wanted one
loughnut. She handed it to him and
:ook the proffered coins. Then, no
icing tiiat he had given her three
•ents, she called him back and re¬
turned one of the pennies. A look of
astonishment spread over the urchin’s
face. Then, realizing he had made a
oargain, he walked across the street,
munching ids doughnut.

Waterproof Sieve.
Turn up the edges of u piece of flue
wire gauze to form a small sieve.
Smoke the gauze on both sides in a
candle flame. If water is poured in
slowly it will not run through, as its
weight is not sufficient to break the
film on the lower side. For the same
reason the sieve can be floated on wa¬
ter, even if loaded with a considerable
weight.—Tit-Bits.

A practical course that will help
every man in the building trades
rTYHE building trades are booming
J_ There is a shortage of trained
men in many lines. Men who
can read blue prints are especially
in demand.
It isn’t hard to learn to read blue

learn all you need to know about
building materials arid specification
writing, but you work on actual
blue prints — the very same blue
prints a contractor would receive
if asked for an estimate, or a fore¬
man would receive from a contractor.

This is a four years accredited high school, Class 1.
The faculty is composed of graduates of the best colleges in
the South.
Regular four year courses are required in English, His¬
tory, Science and Mathematics; with Agriculture and Farm
Mechanics for the boys, and Domestic Science and Household
management for the girls. The two years Teacher Training
Course is popular. Girls may take piano lessons, boys may
join the brass band.
The latest improvements in school plant include Gymna¬
sium, new dairy barn, and new shop.
Board, including laundry, is $33.75 per quarter of nine
weeks, payable in advance. Total expenses need not exceed
$155.00. Work is offered to help reduce expenses.
The beautiful girl’s dormitory is steam heated, and con¬
tains every modern convenience. No school is better pre¬
pared to take care of girls.
Dormitory space has been crowded for the past several
years. Indications point to a record-breaking attendance
this year. Applications for admission should be placed at
once. Write for catalog and application blank.
