The Hayes’ Womans Club was en
tertained at the home of Mrs. Pearl
Harwell, in Starrsville. The home was
account of rain. Miss Roberts was
kept away. A social hour was enjoyed,
after which the hostess served deli
cious sandwiches, tea and cake. She
was assisted by Mrs. C. F. Hays. The
next meeting will be with Mrs. Clar
ence Hayes in Hayston.
Air. B. P. O. Edwards and family, of
Moultrie were guests of Air. and Airs.
Ben Audon Tuesday night and Wed
nesday. Misses Sara and Caroline An
derson. who have been the guests of
Mr. Edwards in Aioultrie, accompan
ied him home.
Dr. Pitts, of Newborn, attended
preaching here Friday and was the
gnest of Mr. and Mrs. €. C. Epps.

Mr. and Mrs. AV. AI. Simmerson
were guests of relatives in Conyers,
Sunday.
Mr. and Airs. Frank Greer and
daughter. Ann. of Decatur, are visit
ing relatives here.
There will l*e no services at the
Presbyterian Church here next Sun
day night, as Dr. Walker kill be on
bis vacation, but if nothing prevents,
be will preach on the First Sunday
night in September, beginning a se
ries of meetings which will be con
ducted by Rev. Harold Smith.
Fred Greer has returned from a
pleasant trip to South Georgia.
Airs. Jane Jackson’s condition has
iapproved since last weekj Her daugh
ter. Airs. Frank Huss has^returned to
her home in Atlanta.
Friends of Airs. Stone Hayes will
be glad to know she is doing nicely af
ter an operation at Wesley Alemorial
Hospital. Air. Hayes spends most of
the time with Mrs. Hayes.
Air. and Mrs. Lamar Jackson and
son. Lamar, ,Tr.. have returned to their
borne in Atlanta.
