Miss Elizabeth Paine’s many friends
are so glad that she is able to at
home again, after so serious an ill
ness and wish for her a complete re
covery. Aliss Paine’s condition is of
a nature that requires complete rest
and quietness for some time yet.
Mrs. R. F. Eakes, Misses Margaret
and Mildred Eakes, of Decatur, and
Mr. Mack Eakes, of St. James Church,
Augusta, formed a congenial motor
party who delighted Prof, and Mrs.
H. H. Stone and family with a social
call Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. H. H. Mabry returned from a
visit with relatives in Acworth Sat
urday and was accompanied from At
lanta by Mrs. Will Wood, of Jackson,
her week end guest.
Mr. and Mrs. Virkil Stevens and
children, of Atlanta, spent Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stevens
and family. Master Albert Stevens will
spend a week with J4r. and Mrs. Ste
vens before returning home.

day afternoon.
As Miss Roberts was taking her va
cation. our president, Mrs. C. A. Las
siter was in charge.
After the business of (he meeting,
the ladies had a delightful time cut
ting and eating watermelon.
All members and their families are
requested to assemble at the picnic
grounds, early. August 22nd.
