Mrs. Ernest Callaway Fetes Book Club
at Beautiful Tea on Monday
The beautiful home of the Ern
est Callaways was the scene of the
February meeting of the Book
Club, at which time Mrs. Callaway
delightfully entertained the mem
bers and a number of visitors at
a lovely tea.
The home was unusually pretty
with its decorations of effective
arrangements of carnations and
snapdragon.
The meeting was called to order
by the President of the Club, Mrs.
George Cochran, who announced
that there would be no business
meeting due to the fact that the
club was so fortunate as to have
as guest speaker one of Georgia’s
most brilliant women. She turn
ed he meeting over to Mrs. Cal
law ay, who was in charge of the
program. Mrs. Callaway present
ed Mrs. P. W. Godfrey in a few
well chosen words, and Mrs. God-

tions throughout the rooms. Mrs.
A. A. Aenchbacher was winner of
top score for club members, and
Miss Eva Stephenson was top score
winner for the guests.

At the conclusion of a delightful
half hour with Mrs. Seydell the
guests were invited to the lovely
dining room where tea was served.
The exquisitely appointed table
was overlaid with an imported lin
en cloth with Italian cutwork and
inserts of rare Burano lace. Cen
tring the table was a lovely con
tainer filled with yellow enapdrag
on, and flanking either side were
silver candlesticks holding tal!
graceful tapers, Mrs. J. R. Sams
and Mrs. George Cochran presided,
Mrs. Sams pouring tea and Mrs.
Cochran serving, Mrs. Ernest
Lee Stephenson and Mrs. S. C.
Candler assisted in serving.

Luncheon was served from the
beautifully appointed table with

occasion.
The meeting was called to order
by the Recent, Miss Annabel
inson, after which Mrs. Walker
Combs led in prayer. The salute
to the flag led by Miss Sallie Mae
Sockwell, Flag Chairman.

order that she may get her report
in by March 1st.
Miss Annabel Robinson was
named delegate to state Meeting
to be held in Athens on March
20, 21st and 22. The following
