Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sheridan and
family, of Atlanta, spent the week
end with Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Wil
liam.- and family.
Miss Martha Branham spent the
week-end with her brother and
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Virlin Bran
ham, in Atlanta.
Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Meador went
to Atlanta Sunday where they
visited their sister, Mrs. J. P.
Clark, who is ill.
The Oxford Women’s Club will
meet at the club room Tuesday,
Feb. 26 at 3:30 P. M. for their
regular monthly meeting.
The Bible Study class of the
Oxford W. M. S. met at the church
Monday afternoon with Mrs. H.
H. Stone in charge.
We take great pleasure in an
nouncing that Mrs. W. It. Branham
who has been confined to her
room for some weeks with a burn
ed foot, is able to walk about the
house again, we trust that she will
soon be out again.
Mr. T. D. Meador accompanied
by his brother, Mr. J. It. Meador,
of Leguinn, spent Tuesday in At
lanta visLing their sister, Mrs. J.
P. Clark.
Mrs. Roach Entertains Boys and
Girls Club
Mrs. Geo. S. Roach entertained
the boys and girls world club with
a beautiful valentine party Friday
night, the house was beautifully
decorated with valentines and
spring flowere.
Many in.ere.(ting games and con
tests was the feature fo the en
tertainment.
Those enjoying this lovely oc

Henry Lamar Weldon.
Mrs. Roach was assisted in en
tertaining by Mrs. R. L. Giles and
Mrs. G. W. Cofield.
Delicious Russian tea and wafers
were eerved.
Rev. G. W. I-Iulme was dinner
guest of Mr. and Mr.-. W. C.
Woods Sunday.
Miss Armelia Hardeman, who
teaches at Mansfield, spent the
I weea end with her sister, Mrs.
Hoke Griffith.
Rev. Godfrey spent Friday in
Atlanta.
Dean and Mrs. George Roach
motored to Atlanta Monday.
Miss Margaret Worsham spent
the week-end with Lucile Calvert.
Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Loyd
tended the funeral -of Mr. Bob El
lington at Macedonia Tuesday af
ternoon.
Mr. Odis Little and Mr. William
Corbett, former students of E. J.
C., now students of Emory Uni
versity, were visitors here Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Roquemore,
of Jersey, visited Mrs. W. L.
Floyd Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. B. T. Sheridan and
daughter Alta and son Nathan, of
Atlanta, visited relatives here this
week-end.
The Bible Study Class
The Bible Study Class met at
Allen Memorial Churc/ Monday
Afternoon with quite a large num
ber present, Mrs. W. H. Budd
had charge of the devotional, af
ter which Mrs. Susie Stone presid
ed. Prayer by Mrs. Jamie B.
Smith, then Bible verses were
given from the old Bible by all
present. The meeting was very
inspiring and helpful.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Huff, of
Social Circle were dinner guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Ray Fri
day evening.
Mr. Virgil Stephens, of Atlanta,
visited Mr. and Mrs. Harold Step
hens cn Sunday.

children spent Saturday night and
Sunday in Atlanta.
Mr. Raymond and Perry Whit
Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Ellington
