Held Regular Meeting Monday at Church

Meeting at Home of Mrs. Carl Sims
A meeting of the Susannah Wes
ley Bible Class was held Monday,
June 13. at the home of Mrs.
Sims, with Mrs. J. W. Freeman and
Mrs. J. A. Cowan, co-hostesses.
The season's loveliest roses from
the gardens of Mrs. Sims, and other
arrangements of cut flowers were
used in the rooms' opened for the
class assemblage of almost thirty
ladies.
In the absence of the president,
the vice-president, Mrs. Tom Park
er, presided, opening the meeting
with song in unison, “Help Some
body Today." Scripture lesson from
Matthew and the 12th chapter of
Romans was read by Miss Stella
Pruitt, Mrs. W. T. Dean and the
Miss Jewel Brisendine Entertains
Young Woman's Auxiliary Monday
The Young Women’s Auxiliary of
the Baptist Church met Monday
evening at the home of Miss Jewel
Brisendine

by the president. Miss Mary Beth
Reagan Miss Stella Hogan, pro
gram chairman, brought a most in
teresting program, which was
opened with the song, “Jesus
Saves,” followed with prayer by

very entertaining, being conducted
by Mrs. Carl Sims in her original

business session, during which time
plans were made for a week-end
camp at Indian Springs, which will
be during the week-end of July 8th.
Also plans for a “jelly shower” to
the Georgia Baptist hospital were
made.
A delightful social half hour was
enjoyed.

Conyers; also Mr. and Mrs. L.
Paw and their family. Several
itors also were reported.

poster in the church? If not take
a good look at it next Sunday and
catch the spirit and the last half
of the year will certainly be better
than the first half and it has been
mighty good

In jured in Accident

Mr. Grady Harris, supervisor of
the WPA road project in Rockdale
County, was slightly injured enroute
to his home in Perry, Georgia, Sat
urday afternoon when his car over
turned just below Covington. The
car was badly damaged.
