NOTICE OF SALE OF LAND
Georgia, Newton County.
Under and by virtue of the power
of sale contained in that certain
security deed executed and deliver
ed on the first day of June, 1922,
by William T. Smith to the Atlanta
Trust Company, a corporation, and
recorded in Deed Book 19, page
376, et sequitur, in the office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of
Newton County, Georgia, which
deed to secure debt, the land de
scribed therein and the indebted
ness securd thereby, was transfer
red, conveyed and assigned by the
grantee therein to the Metropolitan
Life Insurance Company by written
conveyance recorded in Newton
County, Georgia, Deed Book 19,
Page 395, the undersigned, Metro
politan Life Insurance Company, as
attorney in fact for said William T.
Smith, will sell at public outcry to
the highest bidder for cash before
the Court House door In Covington,
in Newton County, Georgia, during
the legal hours of sale on the 7th
day of February, 1939, for the pur
pose of paying the indebtedness
secured by said security deed, to
gether with the costs of this sale,

of covenants therein and the amount
owing the Metropolitan Life Insur
ance Company upon date of sale
will amount to $5100.00 principal,
$905 47 accrued interest, $9 66 ad
vanced for fire Insurance pre
miums and $1.01 interest upon said

ed his Security Deed with Power of
Sale contained therein to E. B. Cal

Hundred Eighty-seven and 50-100
Dollar: due December 1, 1932; said
deed recorded in Deed Book 24, folio,
519, in Clerk's Offic:, Newton Su
perior Court, conveying the follow
ing described real estate as security:
All that tract of land in Rocky ;
Plains District, Newton County, !
Georgia, containing one hundred
acres, more or less, and bounded as
follows: On the North by lands
formerly owned by D. C. Chesnut,
now,owned by Stephenson-Callaway
Company; on the Eaat and South
by M. C. Davis; and on the West
V M. H. Davis;
Whereas, said grantor conferred
the power upon the grantee to sell
said described property, in the event
of his failure to pay said note at;
maturity, before the court house
door in Newton County, to the high
est bidder for cash to pay said prin
cipal debt, with Interest to date of
sale, and expenses of sale, after ad
vertising the time, place and terms
of sale in any newspaper published
in said County once a week for four
