Musical Notes
By Aubra Sherwood
The many friends of the Stamps
Bax t, er "smile-a-While” quartet will
be glad to know they are to get an
other opportunity to hear them in
a brand new program. Friday, De
cember 15th, at 8 o’clock at the
Court House in Covington. These
boys sing close harmony and I per
sonally recommend them to all who
enjoy singing, both religious and
swing.
Every church in Newton County
is urged to co-operate with the
Covington Music Club in their coun
ty-wide sing to be held in the new
gymnasium Sunday night, Decem
per 17th at 7:30 o'clock This is
really a worth-while movement and
instead of becoming an annual af
fair it should be held at least quar
terly and would tend to promote a
feeling of good will toward our fel
low man.
The program of Christmas carols
at the church in Oxford last Sun
