Merry Christmas one and ail
When we think of these much use
words does it give you the happi
and reverent feeling that these love
ly phrases should?
Carols, and old Bible Verse, “Glo
ry to God in the highest, peace, good
will toward men,’’ are so terribly vi
tal to our well being and lives. The
beautiful story of the birth of Christ
is so old it is new and sweet. Christ- i
mas is a time when our hearts
reach out to humanity, we wish to j
express that longing in giving gifts. I
we cannot give all we wish to give, i
but each can give of himself ini
service and gratitude for the past j
year and all its blessings and be ■
thankful that we can kneel in peace'
and place our hearts at His Christmas! cross j
The beautiful lights at
bring joy and cheer to passers-by.;
Our homes seem to say, “We are ;
celebrating the Christ-Child in giv
ing lights ’
CHRISTMAS LIGHTS AT
CHRISTMAS TIDE
They shine in spires and windows
golden,
Myriads of lights like curtains rise,
In the festooned tree the star en
foiden
Reflect the softened beauty of the
skies.
The home bedecked, triumphal over
With twinkling lights above the
arching door,
The shadow in the distance hover
While rainbow hues sparkle the
more.
Aerial lights like gems are glowing
Encased in quaintest filigree
Made soft by distant winds a-blow
ing
The chimes of Christmas bells to
me.
And as the whole world shine and
glisten, band,
The choir sings, O lovely
“Glory to God ’’ we stop and listen
As the carol notes spread o’er the
land!
Like paths of light to fields Elysian
Our hearts in sweet remembering
rise,
No veil can dim the glorious vision
For His symbol never dies.
