The report, alleged to have been
carried in this column three weeks
ago, did not have any connections
whatsoever with a couple leaving
the county ... In fact there are
two couples gone ... Is it true
about ‘‘Water Boy” having a true
romance? , . . Sara Harris was
home Sunday afternoon . . . There
is a river between Mansfield and
Covington, Snig! • I . When Bill
White tells Frank Allen “I don’)
like you,” he had better look
around for Frank’s friends first!
Sidney Gate* was poking fun
. . .
over the loud-speaker system at
Green’s Pharmacy Satty after
noon . . Once he was ‘‘calling all
.
police” and the fire alarm went
off . . . Gates thought the coppers
j had heard his call and were on
: their way! ... It was another
grass fire . . . Somewhere near the
Walls house . . . Who said, “Yes,
he’s a brother of mine of a pic
ture of the same name—Brother
Rat!” . . . John Martin brought
that boy friend with him again
Sunday . . . Evelyn was with him!
. . . Ann don’t even know the
Cracker players! . . . Whose unkip
is Roy Elder’s wife? . . . Mary
Baugh gave her mother a surprise
birthday dinner at Jackson Sun
day . . . Was introducing the
Beauty inspector at Gober’s a So-

I Buffington? . . . What made Buck
Brown turn red? .. . Did Fat Cas

er Sunday nite? . . . There was
some pretty straight sendee con
; nected with some of those service
I station jobs? Some think Tom
my Callaway is waiting too long
; about making that announcement!
I ... A guy missed the Loyd’s sup
j per Satty nite by thirty minutes

Troop 73, Covington Mills met

o'clock. The meeting was opened
with the Scout Oath, Scout laws,

Scout has to report three ‘‘good

There is a contest going on be

a certain period of time is to be
rewarded with a pup tent by Ty
rus Wood, the Scoutmaster.
We again want to urge the par

Troop 73 wants to thank the
people for the donations that they

Long Lost Watch
Watch out! If you think some
one is stealing your time, yo;
may have only lost it. And lost
time can be found. Mr. T. E. Tay
lor, Grady county farmer, lost hi
watch eleven years ago. But la:
hands found the watch last week
when they were cutting wood. The
crystal was broken, and the stem
was bent. But the watch was still
in good condition.
