The Starrsville Garden Club
met on May 13 at the club house

Mrs. Horace Bashinski, who before her marriage on May 16th,
was the former Miss Marian Conn, of Porterdale daughter of Mr
and Mrs. J. K. Conn, of St. Cloud, Fla.

Mr. Nelson is the only son of
Mr. and Mrs. E, B. Nelson of
Newborn and is well known in
Newton County. He received his
education at Covington High, Em
ory at Oxford and at Emory Uni
versity where he received his A.
B. degree in 1933. He is a member
of the Delta Tad Delta fraternity.
Mr. Nelson holds a responsible
position with the Southern Bell
Telephone Company, having been
connected with them for several
years.

ing sponsored by the Senior class,

death of Mrs. Lamar Smith, and
