quet which was held Friday
evening, May 17th, in the High
School gymnasium.

smaller tables featured miniature
telephone lines and telephones,

Oxford District Holds Meeting
The District meeting of the Wo
man's Missionary Society of the
Decatur-Oxford district was held
at the Starrsville Methodist church
on Friday, May 17th.
Theme for the day was “Build
ing a Christian World Commun
ity,” and the following program
was presented. Hymn, “Jesus
Shall Reign’’; Worship, Spiritual
Life Chairman, Mrs. J. S. Clegg,
leader. Business session. Greet
ing, Mrs. J. H. Anderson, Roll
call by zone leaders; Memorial
service. Introductions. Zone re
ports by the leaders. Message of
District Secretary, Mrs. E. C. Mc-
Pauline Jarman Circle of Methodist
Missionary Society Met with Mrs. Waites
The Pauline Jarman Circle met
at the lovely home of Mrs. S. L.
Waites May 20th for their Bible
study. The meeting was called to
order by Mrs. Waites who very
quickly dispatched all business
and then turned the meeting over
to Miss Mollie Wilson, program
leader. The subject for the meet
ing was a study of the Psalms.
Mrs. Willie Reed led in prayer,
followed by the discussion of the
lesson and the questions. Miss
Wilson showed a most thorough
study of the lesson and many out
standing and beautifu! thoughts
were brought out. She stated “The
Psalms are a marvelous record of
human hearts pouring themselves
