the Georgia Baptist hospital.
Miss Burge is a niece of Mr.

Covington. Her excellent talk
was entitled “Help Somebody. .

Missionary Society Holds Meeting
The Septima Simmons Circle of
the Baptist Missionary Society met
Monday afternoon at the home fo

bers present.
Mrs. R. H. Greene opened the
meeting by reading the 4th chap
ter of St. John. Mrs. Vera Hooten
chairman, presided over a short
business session. Reports from
committees were given and per
sonal service plans for the month
were made Mrs. T. W, Heard
led the devotional and Mrs. E. B.
Claude Thompson Class of Methodist
Church Held Meeting on
The Claude Thompson Class met
on Thursday afternoon, June 13
on the lawn of the Methodist
church. Chairs were placed in a
circle under a large tree and
everyone enjoyed the novelty of
an outdoor meeting.

Mrs. John Trybala, who before her marriage on June 1st, was

Trybala spent their honeymoon in Covington with the bride's grand
parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Parrish, and Mr. J. Clark Cunnard, at
Starrsville.

Baptist Church Held Meeting Tuesday

Baptist church held their regular
meeting Tuesday afternoon, June

Baptist work in Nigeria, Rev.
L. M, Lyda also spoke encourag

The president expressed the so

gie Cook for playing the piano for
us. The meeting was closed with
prayer by Mrs. Sallie Sowell.
