The marriage of Miss Geneva
Ellis to Hide Moore was solemnized
Friday evening, January 10. at the
First Methodist Church. The cere
mony, performed by the Rev H. C.
Emory, was characterized by sim
plicity and dignity. A large assem
bly of friends and relatives was
present.
The altar was banked with ivy
and on either side white candles
gleamed in branched candelabra
On the pedestals of the choir loti
were vases of white carnations and
narcissus. •
The nuptial music was played
by Miss Elise O’Neil. Mrs. R. R
Fowler, Jr., sang “Because.”

costume.
After the ceremon^ the couple
left for a short wedding trip. They
will reside with the bride’s par-1
ents until completion of their home
on Monticello Street.

sleeves and flared skirt, which
ended in a train. Her tulle veil was
j caught to her hair with a band of
seed p»arls. Her bouquet was of
Vc -ne y mies and white roses.
Immediately , following the cer
emony Mr. and Mrs. Wilson enter
tained at a reception. The bride's
table was overlaid with an ex
quisite white lace cloth and cen
tered with a three-tiered wedding
cake. Silver bowls of white nar
cissus and silver candelabra with
white tapers completed the table
arrangements. The couple is re
i siding in Macon.

day, January 14th, in the Court
room with Dr. Lester M. Petrie as
speaker. Dr. Petrie is Medical Di
rector of the Northeastern Health
Region. He spoke of the need of a
health unit in every county in
! Georgia and showed pictures of the
development of Health Work in
Georgia. A picture showing the
i cause and cure of cancer was also
shown, which included the research
work being done at present on the
treatment and cure ot cancer.
