The Claude Thompson Wesley
Class met on Thursday afternoon,
May 8th, at the home of Mrs. J
E. Philips.
Miss Vivian Bowers called the
meeting to order and presided. Sue
welcomed Mrs. McKibbon. Mrs
Casey. Mrs. Willie Reed, members
and Mrs. Jim Cook a visitor.
The song “America” was led by
Mrs. Grady Smith with Mrs. Few
ler at the piano.
Mrs. R. R. Fowler, Sr. led the
devotional, reading scripture from.
th 3 12th chapter of Corinthians I
She told us that God has endow
ed us with the power to do good
and with his guiding touch we have
unlimited possibilities. God has
given each of us some way in
which we may reach others. She
said “The World needs love, in
tact we all need love and under
standing.” Mrs. Fowler closed her
talk with a prayer.

in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Zachara,
at the home of Mrs. M. L. Bolton
on Floyd Street.

May Day Program At Club House
The teachers in Starrsvilie
school presented their pupils in a

turing a “May Pageant” Friday,
Day 9, in the Club House audito
rium.
The stage was beautifully dec
orated in outdoor shrubbery and
flowers for the scene, with a throne
for the royal pair.

Mr. Zachara, Dean of the Music
Department of Brenau College, has
appeared in concerts throughout

music Club in celebration of Na
tional Music week.

younger social set was present,
and listed among the out-of-town
visitors were Miss Barabara Spear

Following the program, delici
ous punch and wafers were served
to the friends and children, and
an informal story telling period,
and songs followed, which com- f
pleted a most interesting program
for the school patrons.

will complete the entertainment
features and end the school term.
