Now the people in Porterdale
know what a blackout is like. If
someone comes stumbling into
your house some dark night it
will only be some poor soul who
has lost their way. Put them to
bed until morning and you will
be doing your good turn for the
day. They'll probably have it to
do for you some day. It ,ve have

one we had Monday we can turn
our light on again, It rained
enough to water the flowers in
the front yard. (Saved me from
having to do it) . . . The only
thing Hitler has caused me to do
yet was to lose some sleep and
I know a blonde who can do that j
much any night! . . . We had a

of the Atlanta Journal, last week.

Members of the Porterdale
Woman's Club have something
substantial, beautiful and perma

postponement of their sum mei
vacation trip, which they did in
order to equip arid start operation
of the mode'll maternity clinic,
with funds from the club treas

The new hospital was opened
formally on Thursday night, June
6, for the inspection of the Por

eight new babies have been born
there under the best of medical
care and attention.
A trained nurse is on duty and
a doctor is on call at all times. I
The diet kitchen service and all !
linen furnishings are given by the
Womans Club at no cost to the

Everything in the clinic is
