Methodist Church in Chipley, with
the Rev. L. L. Burch giving the

Miss Edith Trapnell, of Colum
bu-. a sister of the bridegroom,
was maid of honor, and Mrs.
Pearce Layfield Jr., of LaGrange,
was matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Miss Laura Jean Trapnell,
of Columbus, another sister of the
bridegroom, and Mrs. Ronald Mul
lins, of Chipley, with Misses Sue
Pitman and Corneal Kimbrough
serving as flower girls.
Firank W. Hutchinson Jr., of La

Community Sing Sponsored By Music
Club Held Sunday in Gymnasium
A Community Sing, sponsored
by the Covington Music Club in
cooperation with the churches,
was held ir, the High School gym
nasium on Sunday evening, Dec.
21, at 7:30 o'clock. A large
choral group from the club sang
four special numbers under the
direction of Virgil Eady, and led
the congregation in singing some
of the best-known and best-loved
Christmas carols. The program
was as follows:

in white bridal satin fashioned

Immediately following the cere
mony the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Pearce H. Layfield, en
tertained at a reception at the
Chipley Woman's Club. After a
wedding tr ip the young couple will
reside in Gainesville.
The above announcement is of
interest to a wide circle of friends
here, as the bride-groom resided
here and in Pocterdale for a num
ber of years, and is a graduate of
the Covington High School.
