projects during the week No

with nearly two million other
4’R boys and girls throughout
the nation in celebrating Nation
al 4-H Club Achievement Week.
W. A. Sutton, state 4-H club
leader at Athens, said this week
that Georgia boys and girls who
belong to the 4-H organization
completed last year projects
valued at $10,700,000. They were
clubs scattered throughtout the
state.
Eighty percent of the club
members . . . there are 115,000 in
the state . . . completed one or
more projects. These project
covered pratically every phase
of farmng and homemaking and
included such other things as
public speaking, recreation, song
leading, talent, health and safety
Around 30 of the champion
project winners in the state rep
resented Georgia at the annua]
National 4-H Club Congress n
Chicago, winning free trips for
their outstanding accomplish
ments. Four of these won nation
al championships.
Nearly 10,000 of the boys and
girls attended a summer 4-H
camp.
Approximately 8,000 men and
women served as adult 4-H clun
advisers assisting county and
home demonstration agents and
the boys and girls themselves in
carrying on the various club
activities.
During the past year, through
the efforts of the club boys and
girls and their adult leaders,
