Whereas, on the "sth day of
November, 1949, Ben W. Smith,
did execute and deliver to the
undersigned, his security deed
and note, for the principal sum
of $1490.00, said Security deed
conveying for the purpose of se
curing said note, the following
real estate: ,
All that tract or parcel of land

ing to subdivision made by W.
O. Adams. County Surveyor, of
the property of Mrs. A.
O. Thompson, being in rectang-
ular shape, fronting on West
Street one hundred forty four
feel, and running back East an
even width, one hundred twenty
five feet. Bounded on the North
by vacant lots now or formerly
owned by Dr. A. S. Hopkins; I
East by lot of Mrs. Monroe
Tucker; on the South by an
Alley and on the West by West
Street, on which is located a
six room dwelling.
The said Security Deed being
recorded in Deed Book 38 page
294 Clerk’s office Newton Su-j
perior Court, to which reference
is made, And, (
Whereas, the said Ben W.|

26, 1953. And,

and is now in default, both as
to principal and interest, and the
undersigned elects that the en

terms of said Security deed and
the laws in such cases made and
provide^, the undersigned will
expose for sale to the highest
bidder for cash, the above des
cribed land, after proper ad
vertisement, on the first Tues
day in June 1953, between the
legal hours of sale before the

County. Covington, Georgia. The
proceeds of said sale will be
used first, to pay th a principal
and interest of said note and
expenses of said sale. The bal

Sealed proposals from General
Contractors will be received by
the Newton County Hospital
Authority at the Newton Co
unty Courthouse, Covington,
Georgia until 11:00 A. M. East
ern Standard Time, 23 June 1953
for the construction of the New
ton County Hospital, Covington,
Georgia.
At the time and place noted
above, the proposals will be pub
licly opened and read. No ex
tension of the bidding period
will bo made.
Bidding documents may be
obtained at the office of the Ar
chitect, Aeck Associates, 140
Peachtree Street, N. W., Atlanta,
Georgia. Applications for docu
ments, together with deposit of
SSO per set, should be filed pro
mptly with the Architect. Bidd
’ ing material will be forwarded as
soon as possible. The full amount
of the deposit for om set will be
refunded to each General Con
tractor who submits a bona fide
bid upon return of such set in
good condition within 10 days
after opening of bids. All other
deposits will be refunded with
deductions approximating cost of
reproduction of documents upon
return of same in good condition
with 10 days after date of open
ing of bids.
Contract, if awarded, will be on
a lump sum basis. No bid may be
withdrawn for a period of 30
days after date of opening.
Bids must be accompanied by
a bid bond in an amount not less
than 5% of the base bid. A
performance and payment bond
will be required in an amount
equal to *IOO% of the contract
price.
