Rehearsal Supper For Wedding
Party By The Zig Callaways'
A delightful affair of Friday
evening. May 22th, was the re
hearsal supper at which Mr.
and Mrs. Zig Callaway enter
tained for members of the Gard
ner-Sullivan wedding party.
Small tables for seating the
guests were placed throughout
the living room, den and ter
race which formed a spacious
setting for the occasion. Yellow
snapdragons and yellow daisies
were employed in the floral ar
rangements in the living room,
while bronze snapdragons and
hemoracalis effectively picked
up the copper tones of the pan
elled walls of the den; and lent
themselves well to the atmosp
here of the terrace.’ The dining
table, frofti which the supper
was served buffet style, was
overlaid with a lovely white
Italian cutwork cloth; and,
featured a centerpiece of pink
roses and blue delphinium,
combined with graceful fronds
of ivy, artistically arranged in
a silver and crystal epergne.
and.oulbs being donated by club
members; an old fashion’d box
supper held at the Teen Can

held May at the Newton High
School Auditorium. These proj

Mrs. John Fuller was chairman
of the Ways and Means commit

Highlight of the year’s work
was the annual flower show held
May 15 at the Legion Home.

this event each year. Mrs. S. R.
Campbell, Jr., was chairman of
the show, with Miss Sara Cal
laway as schedule chairman. The
show had as it’s theme, “Love in
Bloom”, with ten classes under
this heading. This show proved
to be very entertaining, as well
as beautiful, since the various
classes called for a great deal
of imagination on the part of the
arrangers. Invitations were ex
tended to all neighboring garden
clubs and to the public.
