these twelve counties will take |
part in the "Scoutorama.”
According to Mr. W. C. Ward- i
law Jr., president of the Atlanta
Area Council, similar shows put
on in New York, St. Louis, and
other large cities proved sensa
tional and entertaining. Plans
| formulated and announced by the
Central Committee who visited
these shows indicate that the At
lanta Scoutorama will surpass
them in size, spectacular events
and entertainment for the spec
tators.
Scheduled to be put on at 8
p. m., Saturday, May 1, at Grant
Field in Atlanta, the gigantic
show is expected to attract
thousands of spectators from all
over the state.

j pause to pay tribute to our
. departed comrade, buddy and
1 friend, Past Commander Moody
C. Summers, Sr.
BE IT REMEMBERED:
That Moody C. Summers,
Sr, was a charter member of
| Newton County Jost No. 32
I »nd was the only man ever
to serve in the capacity of
i Post Commander for four eon
| secutive terms.
BE IT KNOWN:
That in the early days of
it’s organization when mem
bership was small, when meetr
ings were held in various
places, when there was a pos
sibility that the Post would
| lose it's charter that Moody
C. Summers, Sr. was always
faithful, diliquent, loyal and
that it was largely through his
love for the American Legion
and untiring efforts that we
are now priviledged to meet
whenever we choose in one of
the finest Legion homes in the
entire Department of Georgia.
To know Moody Summers
was to love him; those of us
who were closest to him and
i knew him best will perhaps
feel more keenly his passing
But no matter the closeness
of personal contacts with him
: his influence will ever be a
a guiding and inspirational
i light in the affairs of our Post.
' Always a staunch advocate of
The American Legion Auxi
liary as a necessary part of
the Legion program his words
। of encouragement and advice
I will ever be treasured.
Ewr oheerfuLever helpful,
always a gentleman, always
a good Legionnaire we will
miss his cheerful smile and
| kindly greetings just as w«
| will miss his faithful atten
dance which continued so long
■ as he was physically able.
