Announcement was made Monday of an EXTRA CASH MIZE of 550.00 for the contestants turning in the LARGEST AMOUNT OR MONEY for new end
renewal subscriptions in the $4,500 SUBSCRIPTION CONTEST during the SECOND VOTE PERIOD — between October 4 and October U, 10 P.M. ALL
STARTED EVEN MONDAY, OCTOBER 4, for the EXTRA PRIZE. The Money turned in previous to October 4 — during the first period — does NOT count
toward winning the extra SSO. but all that is turned in during the second vote period counts toward winning the EXTRA PRIZE, and Hie votes each sub

How Prizes will Be Awarded
Under the contest rules, entrants ean win priaas a*
follows:
AH entrants will be eligible to win the new 1954 Chevro
let “Two-Ten” 4-door Sedan. This includes residents of
Newton and Rockdale Counties, residents of the Southern
and Eastern part of Walton, Eeastem DeKalb, Northern
Henry, Northern Jasper and Western Morgan Counties. The
person entering from this area and securing the largest
number of vote credits by any or all of the methods of
obtaining them will be awarded the Chevrolet on October
30, 1954
All entrants from this section will be eligible to win the
SSOO CASH. The one securing the second largest vote total
will be. awarded this prise.
After the FIRST and SECOND PRIZES are awarded the
entrant from the ROCKDALE DISTRICT with the next larg
est vote total will be awarded the $484.80 HOTPOINT HOME
FREEZER. Thia district includes entrants residing in Roek
dale County. Eastern DeKalb, Western Wahen to Highway
No. 81, Southern Gwinette, South of Highway 78, and the
portion of Henry bordering on Rockdale county to Highway
20.
The entrant with the next highest vote total, regardless
of residence, will be warded the $299.93 Frigidaire Automatic
Washer, and the next highest the $249.95 Westinghouse Tele
vision.
The SIOO DEFENSE BOND will be awarded to the Negro
entrant, regardless of district, finishing with the largest vote
total, providing it is not the first, second, third or fourth
highest vote, If a Negro entrant or Negro entrants wins any
of the four main prizes, th* SIOO Bond will go to the next
highest Negro entrant. If no Negroes enter or if they do
enter and fail to comply with the contest rules that apply
to all entrants or fail to make regular weekly reports, this
prize will not be awarded to any other entrant. No entrant
ean win two prizes.
