*y MRS. DOUGkAS YANCEY
Hello! Everyone! Here it is
another week and time to tell
our friends everywhere what has
been going on around Salem for
the past week. For one thing we
are all anxious about the water
actuation. I understand that sev
eral wells in this community
have already failed and that of

to death for fear that ours will
be next.

Salem. Luke Knight was strick
en with polio last week, however,
he did not have to stay in the
hospital and we do feel that
his case was not so serious as

A GOOD BASIC BREAKFAST
Take the advice of Agricultural
Extension Service nutritionists
and eat a good breakfast each !
day. They recommend a basic
breakfast of fruit, cereal, milk,
bread and butter, plus a protein
food. Breakfast should provide
one-fourth to one-third of the
day’s food needs. Such a meal
costs less than 25 cents.
