Mr. and Mrs. George Porter
MacMahon, formerly of Detroit,
Mich., are being welcomed as
new residents of Newton County.
The MacMahons have purchased
the farm formerly owned by Mrs.
George Cherry and the late Mr.
Cherry, and it is their plan to
continue the development of the
farm, which they named “Cherry
Valley Farm," into a cattle farm
for the production of pure bred
Hereford*. Their choice of New
ton County for their home site
was not a happenstance, since it
was made after five year* of
prospecting for the ideal location.
They are not stranger* to Geor-
