beautiful day last Sunday but
also brought a large attendance
at Sunday School for which we
were very grateful. We invite

ference for Pilgram Fellowship
Officers at Wadley, Ala., Monday
and Tuesday of last week. She
brought back many helpful sug

Funeral Held
Samuel M. Johnson, 82, of Cov
ington died Tuesday, October 19.
Last rites were conducted Friday,
j October 22 at 3:30 p.m. at the
' Calvary Baptist Church with the
Rev. T. Richard Davis officiating,
i Interment was in the Covington
, Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his
wife; three sons, Crawford Bal
lew and Grady Johnson, both of
Covington; Norris Johnson, Mc-
Donought; three daughters, Mrs.
Willie Mae Johnson, Miss Doris
Johnson and Miss Gladys John
son, all of Covington; one brother,
Green Johnson of Covington and
ne sister, Mrs. Carl Reid of Cov-

a heating system for the church.

The Starrsville WSCS held
their Week of Prayer program
Wednesday at the club house
with Mrs. J. M. Aiken in charge
of the program. A good offering
was presented to be sent to the
.treasurer and plans made to pack
a bag of clothing for Korean orp
ans. Mrs. James Anderson who

during the social hour.
