Mrs. Robert E. Lee who passed
on to her reward at the Porter
dale Hospital on Friday morn
ing January 28. “Miss Dora” as
she was affectionately called by
all who knew her, was nearing
j her 93rd birthday, and had been '
in declining health for several
years making her unable to get
out among her friends or even
|to the church she loved so
! very much. Yet we all knew and '
loved her for her sterling qual
ities and the cheerful manner
in which she lived. Her good
ness can be measured by the
esteem in which her family and
neighbors and friends held her. ■
We are very glad to learn |
। that Mrs. Danny Fuller Jr. is [
I recuperating nicely from the !
recent operation she had at New
| ton County Hospital. We wish
for her a speedy and complete
1 recovery.

Virgil Veal Sr., age 68, who died s
suddenly Sunday. January 30 at ।
her residence, were held Tuesday, >
February 1 at 11 a.m. at the i
Bethany Presbyterian Church
with the Rev. M. B. Dendy, pastor
officiating. Interment was in the 1
Bethany Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband;
three sons, W. V. Veal Jr., of
East Point, Thomas A. Veal of
Knoxville, Tennessee, Billy Veal |
of Covington; three daughters, ।

Funeral Held
Claude William Few, age 82,
of Route 4, Covington, died at his
home January 27 after an illness
of about five years. Last rite were
conducted Friday, January 28 at
2 p.m. at the Sewells Methodist
Church with the Rev. W. H. Luns
ford, officiating. Interment was in
Sewells Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
Annie Lou Few of Covington two
sons, Gilmer and Phillip Few,
both of Covington; two daughters,
Mrs. Mary Alice Morgan of Mans
field, Miss Alma Few of Coving
ton; one brother, Andrew Few of
Porterdale.
Mr. Few was born in Morgan
County.
