The Hardman family of Por
terdale has many friends in Sa
lem who extend sincere sympa
thy te them in the death of Mr.
Hardman. Miss Mae, the daugh
ter, has been very special with
my family as she served as maid
of honor i our daughter's wedd
ing and it was with deep sorrow
that we learned ahout Mr. Hard
man's passing. The beautiful
floral offerings at his funera!
were a wonderful testimony of
the esteem in which he and his
family were held. We join the
many others in extending our
hieartfelt symoathy and ecan say
we join you ir. your sorrow.
Sunday. October 28, was oh
served as Layman's Day in Salem
Methodist Church. Morris Allen
had charge of the ceremonies
and Doyle Bailey brought the
nessage. The theme of the ser
vice was “Prayer” and Mr. Bai
'ey's message was both timely
and inspiring A large crowd was
present and were inspired *by

out at Salem Church on Satur
day, November 3 when Miss Peg
gy Maxwell and Leon Hall are
married. The bride-to-be is the
oldest daughter of Mr, and Mrs.
Otis Maxwell and has many
friends who are extending best

Standard is still a patient at

are glad to see him back from a
