Morning Coffee Honors Miss Callaway
Bride Elect at Home of Mrs. Trammell
Among pre-nupital events al
which Miss Eu'a Callaway, De
cember bride-elect, continues to
be feted, was a morning coffee
on Tuesday at the home of Mrs,
Godfrey Trammell, with Mrs.
Oscar Harper, Jr. as co-hostess.
A striking arrangement of
burgundy chrysanthemums in a
brass container lent floral in
terest in the entrance hall. The
rich autumnal colors were fur
ther highlighted in late sum
mer roses which shaded from
pink into maroon, and burgundy
chrysanthemums in a black
compote, and a mantel fruit ar
rangement in harmonizing tones,
which were used in the living
room Yellow chrysanthemums
combined with yellow splashed
scuba leases in a brass contain
er picked up the colors employ
ed in the decor of the den.
The riming table, overlaid with
embroidered, cut-work cloth in
white, had as its centerpiece a
silver basket of yellow gladiolus,
roses and chrysanthemums. Cof
fee was poured from silver ser
vices at each end of the table
by Mrs. Nat Turner and Mrs. R.
R. Fowler from ten to eleven

.its November meeting in the
Mission room of the Old Church.
Mrs. Virgil Eady, president,
opened the meeting with the
reading of a poem from the mag
azine “Christian Home.” Mrs.
Chidsey, wife of the district su
perintendent, was welcomed and
Mrs. Eady expressed apprecia
tion in having her as a member
of the W.S.C.S.
The report of the treasurer
was read. Correspondence from
Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Trimble,
concerning special gift at Christ
mas for Paine College, and rural
work in North Georgia Confer
ence. was read. Action was
taken on this matter and it was
decided that a special offering
would be taken at our joint
meeting in December for these
projects.

enjoyed the Thanksgiving holi
days with her children, Mr. and
Mrs. John C. McGaughey and
Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Patterson
and daughter. Mary Patricia, at

meeting Monday. November 19
with 22 members and one visitor

Mrs. D. G. Stephenson, vice
president, called the meeting to
order and conducted the worship
period using Thanksgiving as her
theme. “Come Ye Thankful Peo
ple” was sung.
The minutes were read and
approved. The treasurers report
with a balance of $131.82 was
given and placed on file. Ninety
dollars was given to church ex
tension. Circle reports were giv
en and placed on file.
