in Warrenton, with the presence

Then we boarded the train and
rode to Lithonia. Mrs. White and
Mrs. Bankston, our leaders, Mrs.
Smith, Laura Mitchell, Gay and
Rodney Bankston went with us.
When we reached Lithonia, we
went to the Drug Store for ice
cream. Mrs. Howard Mitchell and
Mr. Darvin White were waiting
for w in their cars to taring us
home. We all had * wonderful
time.
BROWNIE TROOP 1

Brownie Troop No. 1 met
February 7 at 3 o’clock. Wa met
at the Legion Hall. The meeting
was called to order by the pres
ident. We said the pledge to each
flag. After the pledges were
said, the minutes were read, and
the roll was ealled.
The troop learned Hie ten Girl
Scout laws. We were served
eandy, also.

All of us in Troop 11 enjoyed
our meeting Monday. We rut out
Valentines and mad* envelopes
for them. We are going to send
these to the Newton County Hos
pital and ask Mrs. Reid to put
them on the patient’s breakfast
trays on Valentine's Day. We had
a big tray of pretty red apples,
which we ate while we made th*
Valentines.
This was Claire Zinser’s last
meeting with us and we surely
hated to tell her good bye. Our
Troop presented her with a Brow
nie Autograph Book. Th* leaders
wrote a message to Claire in it
and we all signed our name.
Brownies, be sure to have your
parte ready for our Patriotic Pro
gram next Monday.

Brownie Troop 12 had a very
interesting patriotic program for
our meeting Monday. W* celebra
ted three important dates in Feb
ruary. One patrol gave parts on
George Washington, one on
Abraham Lincoln and one on our
State of Georgia. We saw interest
ing pictures and booklets too. Mrs.
Moseley’s patrol was 100 percent
with all members present taking
part in the program.
Last week our troop made Val
entine* for patient* at Newton
County Hospital.
