Well, Winter is back after a
breath of real spring-like weath
er The thermometer dropped to
24 degrees this early Monday
morning here in between the
rivers.
It begins to look like we will
miss the rare beauty of a snow
storm this year unless mother
■nature can turn a few tricks in
a hurry, but we have had a lot of
what is second best, namely frost.
And if snow has a rival it is
indeed old Jack Frost. How of
ten have many of us stood at our
kitchen window and looked out
on a white expanse of lawn and
our gaze would wander on be
yond across the meadow or
weedland where Jack Frost has
transformed the normal ugliness
of such a scene into a fairyland,
and in the sunlight one sees
what looks like millions of shin
ing diamonds clinging to every
vine and weed, but soon the
warmth of the sunshine drinks
up these frozen dew drops and
they vanish, but we had them
for a short while. Oh God has
created such a beautiful world
for us to enjoy!
Well, yesterday was another
good day at County Line. Rev.
Horace McClellen of Hapeville
filled the pulpit for both the
morning and evening services
and brought such a good message
from the first Psalm.
