onstration Club met at the club
house on February 11 with 15
members present.
The meeting came to order
i with Mrs. J. C. Robertson, pre
siding. The club creed was read
in unison followed by the
group singing a song. Mrs. El
mer Hitchcock gave the devo
tional with the group praying
I the Lord’s Prayer* in conclusion.
The roll call was made and
minutes of the January meeting
were read and approved. Mrs.
i Howard Lee King, treasurer,
gave a report on the finances.
Score cards were checked.
Mrs. Malone made the an
nouncement that the District
Home Demonstration Club
Council would meet at the First
Baptist Church in Covington on
March 11. Each club agreed to
; furnish a cake, potato salad,
fried chicken, a large tray, bis
cuits and one dollar to help pay
for a ham. Each club member
was urged to come and bring
a covered dish.
There will be a meeting in
Griffin on February 25. Speci
alists on Food Preservation,
Gardening and Orcharding will
be present and the chairmen of
these projects are especially
urged to attend.
Mrs. Malone gave an infor
mative demonstration on the
basic foods and meal planning.
The hostesses, Mrs. Leon
Hodges and Mrs. Elmer Hitch
cock, served a salad plate, Val
entine candy and coffee during
the period of fellowship.
