Mrs. H. D, Lancaster and of
course, our beloved pastor and
Uncle Key.
Later in the evening tome
song practice and a game were
on the agenda.
Many thanks to Mr. and Mrs.
Johnnie Moody for such a love
ly evening.
On Saturday a number of
workers from the Men’s Bible
Class met at the home of the
pastor here for a period of fel
lowship and devotion at break
fast, after which these men
went out on a visitation mis
sion. There will be another such

It was good to have Mrs. Nel
lie Sullivan and Mrs. E. A. Hai
ley back with us Sunday after
an enforced absence because of
illness. Mrs. Walter Warren is
somewhat improved after a
bout with the flu.
Last Thursday Mrs. C. L.
Moody and Mrs. H. D. Lancaster
called on Mrs. Mick Lynch, Mrs.
Minnie Carter, Mrs. E. A. Hai
ley, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Sing
ley. Some of these had illness
in the homes, but we trust all
will be well in short order.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Satterfield
spent Sunday with Mr. and
Mrs. Willie T. Satterfield near
Columbus.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Steadham
and children of Decatur and
Mrs. Lizzie Steadham and Ar
thur of Covington enjoyed din
ing with Mrs. Flora Cook Sun
day after church.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Luns
ford called on the K. C. Martin
family one day last week.
Mrs. Maybelle Hewell had the
misfortune to get her thumb
badly mangled when a car door
swung to, last Saturday as she
was about to get out at Mrs.
Gennie Mae Stokes. We hope
this hurt will heal rapidly.
“Get Well” - ishes are ex
tended to L. .1. Cawthon in
Atlanta who is a reader of the
County Line column and who
has been ill in the hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Luns
ford and Mrs. H. D. Lancaster
called briefly on Mrs. Howard
Parish last Friday evening.
Rev. and Mrs. Charles Moody,
Johnnie and Dwight Moody
called briefly on Mrs. H. D.
Lancaster one day last week.
Later visitors were Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Steadham and chil
dren.

Pvt. Jerry Loyd of Ft. Knox.
Kentucky, spent the weekend
with home folks.
Mrs. Vallie Aiken has been
sick for the last several days.
We wish for her a speedy re
covery.
The Rev. Charles Moodv will
be leaving Sundav evening to
help run a revival at Cochran.
Johnnie Moodv will fill the
evening pulpit here at that
time.

others of the Young Matrons
Class, attended the stork show
er given for Mrs. Edna^WPker
son at the home of Mrs. Joice
Clegg on Saturday night.

weekend with their leader Mrs.
Rufus Harper were Misses Carol
Ann Prosser. Sally Jo Knight,
Evelyn Veal, Hannah Wyatt,
Nancy and Sandra Harper.
They were very happy to see
Rev. and Mrs. C. E. Evans there
and many other missionaries.
All report a nice time.
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hays Sr.
spent Sunday evening with Mr.
and Mrs. I. A. Henderson.
Mrs. Mary Lillie Adams spent
one day recently with Mr. and
Mrs. J. B. McDaniel and chil
dren in Oxford.
Mrs. Bessie Huff of Atlanta
visited Mrs. E. R. Banks a few
days last week.
Mrs. Pearl Greer of Jackson
spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Ray Henderson and family.
Mrs. Overton Lawrence and
Parks Lawrence attended the
funeral of her brother Mr.
Thomas Walter Sigman in So
cial Circle Monday. Our sym
pathy goes out to the family in
their loss of a loved one.

of her parents Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Hardman.
Mr. Doyle Ozburn is in Vet
erans Hogpital in Dublin and
is doing nicely at this time.
