Corporation, who will serve
until their successors shall be
elected and shall qualify in ac
cordance with the provisions of
the by-laws are to be the fol

The purpose of the Corpora
tion shall be to incorporate un
der the laws of the State of
Georgia the now existing agri
cultural society knowr. as the
Newton County Farm Bureau,
to be a member of the corpor
ation known as the Georgia
Farm Bureau Federation. To
develop, foster, promote, and
protect programs for the gen
eral welfare, including the eco
nomic, social and educational
well being of farm people. To
cooperate to this end with other
organizations, institutions, and
agencies, both private and pub
lic, and legislative and admin
istrative bodies charged with
the responsibility of enacting or
administering laws affecting
agriculture. To purchase, hold,
sell, assign, transfer, mortgage,
pledge or otherwise dispose of
the shares of the capital stock
or bonds of any other corpor
ation or corporations of this
county, state or any other State
or government, and, while own -
er of such stock, to exercise all
the rights, powers, and privil
eges of ownership, including
the right to vote thereon. To act
as an agent for its members and
any insurance company or com
panies for the purpose of se-
curing insurance coverage or
services for its members and
their dependents, and for like
purposes. To exercise all rights,
powers and privileges granted
by this State to ordinary Cor
poration under the Corporations
Act of 1938 as amended by the
Act of 1949.

Your petitioners further pray
that the corporation shall have
the power and right to own,
lease, maintain and manage all
such real and personal property
as may be suitable to the pur
poses of such corporation that
power to make and perform
any and all such contracts as
may seem proper in carrying
out its purpose, and such other
powers as may be lawfully en
joyed and exercised by similar
corporations, including the pow
er to receive donations from
individuals, associations or cor
porations, and to make such
donations as it may see fit in
the promotion of its legal ac
tivities.

Petitioners attach hereto a
certificate from the Secretary
of State declaring that the name
of the proposed corporation is
not the name of any other exist
ing corporation registered on
the records of said Secretary of
State.
WHEREFORE, Petit i o n e r s
pray that they may be incor
porated under the name and
style aforesaid, with all rights,
privileges and immunities as
are or may hereafter be con
ferred upon corporations of like
character under the laws of
Georgia.

name of the proposed corpora
tion is not the name of any
other existing corporation, and
it appearing that said petition
ers have complied with the re
quirements of law regulating
the granting of such charter;

ED, AND ADJUDGED that said
application be and is hereby

petitioners and their successors
are hereby incorporated under

Atlanta, Georgia, and at the
office of the Division Engineer
of the State Highway Depart

Said work shall begin within
ten (10) days after formal exe
cution of contract and shall be
completed within 100 working
days. When contract has been
executed, written notice shall
be given the Contractor, at
which time, and not before,
work may be started.
Contract executed pursuant
to this Notice is binding on the
Georgia Rural Roads Authority
as such. Said contract will not
create liability, expressed or
implied, against the undersign
ed Chairman of the Georgia
Rural Roads Authority as an in
dividual, nor against any em
ployee of the Georgia Rural
Roads Authority in his or her
individual capacity nor against
the State Highway Department
of Georgia, nor against any offi
cer or employee of the State
Highway Department in his or
her individual capacity.
Proposals must be submitted
on regular forms which will be
supplied by the undersigned,
and must be accompanied by a
certified check, cashiers check,
negotiable United States Bonds
or other acceptable security in
the amount of $3000.00, and
must be plainly marked “Pro
posal for Road Construction”,
County and Number, and show
the time of opening as advertis
ed. Check of the low bidder
will be cashed and all other
checks will be returned as soon
as the contract is awarded, un
less it is deemed advisable by
the Authority to hold one or
more checks. If an unusual
condition arises, the Authority
reserves the right to cash all
checks. Bidders Bond will not
be accepted.
A charge of $5.00 will be
made for each proposal issued.
Such a bond will be required
of the successful bidder as re
quired by law for contractors
contracting with the State
Highway Department of Geor
gia.
Contract will not be awarded
to contractors who have not
been placed on the list of quali
fied contractors prior to the
date of award. No proposals
will be issued to any bidder
later than 9 A.M. Eastern
Standard Time of the date of
opening bids.
All bids must show totals for
each item and total of amount
of bid. Right is reserved to
delay the award of the contract
for a period of not to exceed
thirty (30) days from the date
of opening bids, during which
period bids shall remain open
and not subject to withdrawal.
Right is reserved to reject any
and all' bids and to waive ail
formalities.
Upon compliance with the re
quirements of the standard
specifications, ninety (90) per
cent of the amount of work
done in any calendar month will
be paid for by the 25th day of
the succeeding month, and the
remainder within thirty (30)
days after final estimate is ap
proved by the Engineer.

It contains a clip-out regis
tration card for employers of
household workers to mail to
Internal Revenue Service for
tax reporting forms.
“Employers paying their
maids, cooks, chauffeurs, and
other domestic help more than
SSO in a calendar quarter of the
year must make quarterly re
ports to Internal Revenue,” Mr.
Mui nhy said. “The report must
be accompanied by the payment
of 5 pct. social security tax on
wages paid. This tax is shared
equally by employee and em
ployer.
