PLANTING PINE SEEDLINGS
Dorsey Dyer, forester, Agri
cultural Extension Service,
points out the poor survival
obtained in many plantings of
pine seedlings can be attribut
ed to planting the seedlings too
shallow. The entire root system
must be adequately covered
with soil, he adds.
FUa MILK
COMBINATION
Fish and milk are not a
p o i s o n o us combination, de
clares Miss Nelle Boyd, nutri
tionist, Agricultural Extension
Service. If neither the fish nor
the milk has been contaminat
ed by disease bacterial and if
they are both fresh, there will
be no cause for harm, she says.
