In a “patio plan’’ home, liv
' ing areas are oriented towards
a central patio or yard around
which the house is built.
According to the Southern
Pine Association, the “patio
plan’’ is an ideal medium for
wood plank - and - beam con
of this roof and ceiling system
permits location of large glass
areas on room walls adjacent
to the central patio. Having an
outdoor extension, each room
seems larger and the warm
