white satin streamers and
valley lilies. The wedding tra

cluding a six - pence in h e r
shoe, were also honored.
Miss Saleeta Adair of
Thomaston, who was maid of
honor, and the bride's only
attendant, wore an arnel wool
jersey costume with close fit
ting neckline, in beige: with
which she wore a small match
ing hat and brown accessories.
Her corsage was of green cym
bidium orchids.
Mrs. Mann chose for h e r
daughter’s wedding, an olive,
sheer crepe sheath, with cap
sleeves, and the decoratively
cut neckline finished with a
small self-material bow. Her
corsage was of pink cymbidium
orchids.
Mrs. Maddox, mother of the
groom, wore a sheer sheath in
capri blue, with which she wore
a small feather hat in the same
shade, and black accessories.
Complementing her costume
was a corsage of lavender or
chids.
Mrs. Walter Reynolds, ma •
ternal grandmother of t h e
bride, wore a plum costume
with beagle beads tracing the
bolera neckline; with which she
wore a pink carnation corsage.
Her small hat was also in plum.
Immediately following the
ceremony, the bride’s parents
were hosts at a small recep
tion honoring the newlywed
pair.
The bride’s table, covered
with net over white satin, with
embellishing rosettes of nylon
net centered with valley lilies
and showered with white satin
streamers, held the four tiered,
white embossed wedding cake.
Spun sugar orchids and rose
buds detailed the tiers, topped
by a miniature bride and
groom; and the base ruff was
of maline. The silver cake
knife, showered with white sa
tin streamers and valley lilies
completed the appointments.
Serving the cake was Mrs. Joe
Haymore, the bride’s aunt, who
wore a black, matte jersey
sheath.
The refreshment table, over
laid with white net over green,
also held recorative rosettes of
nylon and orange blossoms. The
central, crystal punch bowl was
embedded in olumosis fern, in
terspersed with silver traced,
white wedding bells, and val
ley lilies; and flanked by three
branched, silver candelabra of
white tapers. Lace, floral fans
of white carnations, orange
blossoms, valley lilies and ma
line puffs, showered with pas
tel green and white satin
streamers tied with valley li
lies and miniature wedding
bells, were also used to advan
tage. Silver trays of wedding
motif sandwiches, and silver
compotes of toasted nuts per
fected the attractive appoint
ments. Miss Saleeta Adair as
sisted in serving punch.
Further highlighting the nu
ptial theme was the buffet
composition, composed of an
open styrofoam heart, edged
with green ruffled nylon lace,
with a central shower of green
i and white satin streamers, tied
with miniature wedding bells
and valley lilies. Plumosis fern
and orange blossoms formed
the heart’s base arrangement,
which was flanked by crystal
candelabrum holding white ta
pers, with flora) fans, identi
cal to those used on the re
freshment table, at the bases.
Upon their return from a
brief wedding trip, Mr. and
Mrs. Maddox will make their
home at 1404 Maple St. in Car
rollton, where Mr. Maddox is a
member of Sewell Manufactur
ing Company personnel.
